Golden Unnamed Puzzle "4729-44" by Tony Stone

This cute pet puzzle is a vintage Golden thrift store find.  Marked 550 pieces, unfortunately, it was missing two of them.  Finished size measuring 15 1/2" x 18", the box is marked ages 10 to adult.  Puzzles continue to keep Jenny and Landon busy during the Coronavirus pandemic school shutdown.

F.X. Schmid "Meeting at the Amazon Cafe" by Timothy Knepp

I loved the coloring, detail, and imaginative fancy of this puzzle, but unfortunately found it to be missing two pieces.  It was a thrift store find that I started while babysitting, so once again I'll never know if I bought it incomplete or lost pieces while working it.   The square shape was unusual, as was the 600 piece count.  A vintage from 1994, with artwork by Timothy Knepp.  I'll be looking for more F.X. Schmidt as the puzzle quality was great; nice, tight fitting pieces that hold together well.

 

Melissa & Doug "Tyrannosaurus" Floor Puzzle

This floor puzzle was only 48 pieces, but it's the perfect subject for Landon.  Unfortunately one of its jumbo pieces was missing so it had to be tossed. 

Cardinal "Star Wars" Puzzle

This 100 piece was a thrift store find and is missing a piece, so it won't get sent along to anyone else.  Landon had fun with it though, so that's all that counts!

Thrift Store Find - Winter Scene - Missing Pieces

Quite a few missing pieces to this thrift store find, so I threw it out rather than donating or trying to sell it.  Wouldn't want to disappoint another puzzler as we were when trying to complete it!  This was long before we started the blog, so without the box I can't even tell you the name.

Mega Puzzles "Dogs of the Saturday Evening Post"

I was so excited to do the puzzle "Dogs of the Saturday Evening Post"!  It was the first one I bid on and bought on Ebay, and the first 1000 piece puzzle I had done since I was a kid.  It took me over a week to do, and some of the pieces seemed so out of place I actually threw one away, thinking it was from another puzzle and mistakenly in the box.  As it turns out, I think it did go to this puzzle, and now it is one piece short, so I won't be able to resell it.  My learning mistake is to always have a "spare piece" cup and keep them in case they are needed later. 

It was fun to take some close up photos of my pups with these old-time magazine covers. 

LPF Ltd. "41 Dogs"

Since I had made a deal with Landon that he was to send me a photo of himself with each puzzle he completed, I began sending him pictures of my pups, Claire & Caitie, with each puzzle I completed.  And thus our contest/collaboration/sharing was born. 

This 240 pc puzzle was a dollar store find that came with two puzzles intermingled in one box.  When I put it together, of course I was short one piece.  But since the box was new when I opened it, it's likely that the missing piece is with the pile of pieces I pulled out as belonging to the other puzzle in the box.  So, the mystery is still to be solved.  The puzzle was actually quite difficult as all the pieces were shades of white, brown, or black.  But the furry faces were fun to look at.

Yet another Star Wars puzzle, this thrift store find was missing three pieces but Landon had fun with it anyways.
